SC - Grain by grain, Briarcliffe Acres tries to restore dunes lost to hurricanes

It was a long and windy trek down the beach during one of the coldest days of winter. Huston Huffman shivered, wrapping himself in layers.

He stopped, pointing a few hundred yards up shore.

"It actually came all the way down there and cut all that out," he said.

Huffman was referring to the White Point Swash, which reaches the ocean on the town's northern border.
