SC - Carnival won't resume cruises from Charleston until September
The Charleston-based Carnival Sunshine cruise ship will not begin sailing again until at least September 2020.
Carnival Cruise Line announced Monday, May 4, all cruises aboard its global fleet will be canceled for at least the next three months.
Carnival initially suspended all cruises for 30 days beginning March 19 due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. That suspension was extended March 30, and was set to expire May 11.
Carnival now says it won't resume cruises until August, when it will begin offering trips again in phases.
