Don't Miss Virtual Screening of ENTANGLED, Followed By Expert Panel

Coastal News Today and the American Shoreline Podcast Network have teamed up with Ocean Blue Happy Hour and ENTANGLED filmmaker David Abel to bring you a special film screening and panel discussion.

Please join us on Thursday, October 22 from 5-7:30pm for a special virtual film screening of ENTANGLED - a new, feature-length film about how climate change has accelerated a collision between one of the world’s most endangered species, North America’s most valuable fishery, and a federal agency mandated to protect both. The film, by the makers of Lobster War and Sacred Cod, won a 2020 Jackson Wild award, known as the Oscars of nature films. Presented by Ocean Blue Happy Hour in association with the American Shoreline Podcast Network.

Agenda:

  • Keynote from filmmaker David Abel on zoom
  • Viewing of the feature length film via a link shared on the call
  • Return to zoom for a 45-minute panel discussion with representatives from the fishing industry, NOAA, and the science community with questions from the audience.

Register here, and BYO popcorn and beverages!

Unlike our happy hours to date, this event does require ticket sales to cover the licensing fee and taxes. Any proceeds will go to a well-respected local conservation and research organization that works on this issue in New England - the Center for Coastal Studies.

We want to ensure all members of the community can join the conversation and are happy to provide free access to those who need it - just email us and we will add you to the list, no questions asked. Emily@espadvisor.com / rmeyers@nsf.org.

Registrants will receive login details the day-of the event.

Register below to join us on Thursday, October 22, from 5-7:30 pm ET.
