Florida: Beachfront homeowners receiving easement letters in first step to restore St. Johns County beaches
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - Neighbors in St. Johns County who live along the shoreline got to speak with county leaders about a project to rebuild and restore South Ponte Vedra and Vilano beaches.
The county has mailed out easement packets to certain homeowners. It's the first step in allowing the Army Corps of Engineers to start working.
Brendon Thach not only comes to the South Ponte Vedra Beach for fun, but he also depends on it for his livelihood.
He's one of the creators of "Hey Skipper'" a show on YouTube with almost 250,000 subscribers.
"In our show we teach all sorts of families and parents, kids how to fish," said Thach.
Action News Jax bumped into him as he was wrapping up a shoot on the beach. We shared with him the plan to help rebuild and restore the beach front.
